2013 SF Spring Classic

So, the SF Spring Classic is over. What a disappointment. The route came out late the night before and unlike last year, it features no mixed terrain whatsoever. No fire road. No gravel. No broken pavement. It was just another road century. The nicest thing I have to say about the event is that the people working the rest stops were really nice. Takeaway: Won't do that one again.

Hi Ren,

The weather made Murphy switch to an all-road Spring Classic this year. I, like you, was a bummed but they were new roads.

Don't give up on it - Murphy changes it every year and always intends to include dirt if the weather allows.

I'm sure you've read about the epic inaugural Spring Classic last year - there will be more and it will be epic!

Hope you get to ride the Coe Monstercross soon (don't wait until summer - really) - I'll probably reride later in the year so watch MTBR if you and SV don't get out there.

Cheers!
